The Voyera Index
Six Dimensions. Every Property Mapped. Less Guesswork.
Finding the right ski stay in Japan shouldn't mean reading dozens of listings and hoping you don't book the wrong one. Voyera maps every property across six clear dimensions, so you can see at a glance whether a stay matches your trip, your group, and your style.
The Index, Explained
What the Numbers Mean
Each property is mapped from 0 to 5 across all six dimensions by the Voyera team, people who have lived, worked, and skied in Japan. The radar chart shows the shape of a property at a glance. A wide, even shape means a well-rounded stay. A strong lean toward Luxury or Privacy tells you exactly what that property does best.
The System
The Six Dimensions
Facilities
The range and quality of on-site amenities and shared spaces. Think private onsen, ski storage, gym, cinema rooms, and everything that shapes life inside the property.
Luxury
The quality of interiors, fittings, and finish throughout. From furniture and linen to materials, concierge, and ski valet service.
Access
Proximity to lifts and the village. Ski-in/ski-out, walking distance to restaurants, shuttle access.
Value
The price point relative to what you get — space, quality, and inclusions for the rate.
Privacy
How private and self-contained the property is. Secluded settings, dedicated entrances, no shared spaces.
Groups & Family
Suitability for groups, families, and multigenerational travel — room configuration, cots, safe spaces, family-friendly layout.
These dimensions reflect informed judgment, not guarantees. We map each property carefully, drawing on 14 years of combined Niseko ski accommodation experience. Star ratings work for hotels, but ski travel is different. The Voyera Index exists to help you find the right fit, not to rank properties against each other.
